Hach Alkalinity Test Kit Model AL-AP | 5 to 400 mg includes both low range (5 - 100 mg/l) tests and high range (20 - 400 mg/l tests).
Alkalinity is caused by the presence of carbonates, bicarbonates, hydroxides, and other dissolved salts. Alkalinity acts as a buffer, protecting the water from sudden shifts in pH. Typical Alkalinity in drinking water is 20-200 mg/L.
