Winter Work Boots Titan

Key Features of Baffin Titan Plain Toe Winter Boots

  • Lightweight extreme cold winter boots at only 7.44 lbs per pair, the lightest -100°C-rated boot in the Baffin lineup, easier on the legs through long shifts
  • Plain toe construction with no metal or composite safety toe, meant for outdoor workers and crews who need extreme cold protection without CSA certification
  • Oarprene™ shell stays flexible in deep cold, resists oil and acid, and forms a fully waterproof barrier from the outsole to the snow collar
  • Removable eight-layer inner boot system traps body heat and pulls sweat away from the foot, and slides out at the end of a shift so the liner can dry overnight
  • Nylon locking snow collar seals out drifting snow, slush, and cold air trying to enter from the top of the boot
  • Polar Rubber™ outsole grips packed snow and ice at temperatures where standard rubber loses traction, with an aggressive self-cleaning lug pattern that sheds mud and slush
  • Slip-on style with no laces lets crews get in and out fast at shift change, especially helpful in cold weather when laces are stiff

Baffin Technology Inside the Titan Plain Toe Winter Boots

  • Oarprene™ shell: Baffin's proprietary fully moulded compound, formulated for lightweight flexibility and cold resistance. This is what keeps the boot pliable at -100°C inner boot ratings where standard rubber would go brittle
  • Polar Rubber™ outsole: Baffin's proprietary rubber compound for the outsole, formulated to maximize grip at cold temperatures
  • B-Tek™ Dry: waterproof base technology that seals the foot from moisture without trapping sweat inside
  • Eight-layer inner boot system:
    • Thermaplush™ Wicking: Pulls moisture away from the foot.
    • B-Tek™ Foam Lining: Adds cushioning and comfort.
    • Double B-Tek™ Heat Insulation: Helps retain body heat.
    • Hydromax™ Moisture Management: Reduces moisture buildup inside the boot.
    • Vapourized Aluminum Membrane: Reflects heat back toward the foot.
    • PolyWool™ Blend: Adds insulation and warmth.
    • DiamondNet™ Insulation: Blocks cold air and wind.
    • Together, the layers keep feet warm and dry in extreme cold.
  • Real-World Tested™: every Baffin boot is tested in real working conditions, not just a lab, before it reaches the market

Caring for Your Baffin Titan Plain Toe Winter Boots

  • Rubber and Oarprene™ shell: wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime
  • Nylon snow collar: hand-wash with warm water. If dirt persists, use a mild detergent
  • Let the boot and inner liner air dry naturally. Do not use a heater, dryer, or direct flame to speed up drying
  • Remove the inner boot at the end of each shift to let it dry separately. This extends liner life
  • Before storing, remove all dirt and debris from the rubber and nylon
  • Make sure the boot is fully dry before putting it away
  • Store in a dark, dry, and cool place to protect the Oarprene™ from UV damage and heat

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these boots CSA approved?

No. The Titan Plain Toe is not a CSA safety boot. As one of the extreme cold winter boots without a safety toe, it has no metal or composite toe, no puncture plate, and is not certified to CSA Z195-14 or ASTM F2413. If your worksite requires a CSA Grade 1 safety boot, look at the Titan STP instead, which has the same -100°C inner boot system plus a composite toe, plate, and shin protectors.

How is the Titan Plain Toe different from the Titan STP?

Same name, same -100°C inner boot system, very different boot. The Plain Toe version has no safety toe, no puncture plate, and no shin protectors. It is meant for outdoor work, hunting, trapping, fishing, and agriculture where extreme cold is the threat but a CSA rating is not required. The STP version adds full safety certification.

What does the -100°C / -148°F rating mean?

This is the comfort rating for the removable inner boot system, not a cold-crack rating. The eight-layer inner boot traps body heat and pulls sweat away from your foot. Real-world warmth also depends on your activity level, what socks you wear, and how long you are outside. Among -100°C rated boots Canada offers, this is one of the lightest.

Are the inner boots removable?

Yes. The Comfort-Fit inner boot slides out of the outer shell, which lets you dry the liner overnight after a wet or sweaty shift. Baffin also sells replacement liners for the Titan separately, so if the original inner boot wears out before the outer shell, you do not have to replace the whole boot.

What is the Oarprene™ upper made of?

Oarprene™ is Baffin's proprietary fully moulded compound, formulated for lightweight flexibility, cold resistance, and durability. It resists oil and acid, stays flexible in deep cold, and forms a fully waterproof shell. It is one of the reasons the Titan Plain Toe weighs only 7.44 lbs per pair while still handling -100°C inner boot ratings.

Are these waterproof winter boots for hunting?

Yes. Baffin has been making waterproof winter boots for hunting, trapping, and fishing since the mid-1980s. The fully moulded Oarprene™ shell creates a waterproof barrier from the outsole to the snow collar at the top. The slip-on style with no laces allows you to pull them on quickly before heading out into the bush or onto the ice.

What sizes does the Baffin Titan Plain Toe come in?

Cleanflow stocks the Titan Plain Toe in men's sizes 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. Baffin recommends ordering true to size. The boot has a slip-on style with no laces and a generous fit, with the inner boot sized to accommodate thick wool socks for the coldest conditions. Check the size guide before purchasing.
