Key Features
Heavy-Duty Schedule 80 Construction
Manufactured to provide greater wall thickness and higher pressure capability than Schedule 40 PVC, making it suitable for demanding commercial and industrial applications.
Excellent Corrosion & Chemical Resistance
PVC construction resists corrosion, rust, scale, and many chemicals, making it ideal for water treatment, chemical processing, irrigation, and industrial piping systems.
Wide Range of Sizes
Available in diameters from 1/2" through 6" to suit a variety of plumbing, pressure piping, and industrial applications.
Easy to Fabricate
Compatible with standard Schedule 80 PVC fittings and solvent cement for dependable, leak-resistant connections.
Convenient 10-Foot Lengths
Supplied in manageable 10-foot sections that are easier to transport and ship than full-length pipe.
Factory Socket Information
Schedule 80 PVC pipe is manufactured by the factory in 20-foot lengths, with a factory-formed belled socket (hub) on one end to allow solvent-weld connections without requiring a separate coupling.
To reduce shipping costs and make delivery more practical, pipes from 1-1/2" through 6" are cut into 10-foot lengths before shipping. As a result, some 10-foot sections will include the original factory socket while others will not, depending on where the cut falls along the original 20-foot length.
This is completely normal and should be expected when ordering multiple 10-foot lengths. For example, an order of four 10-foot lengths will typically include two pieces with factory sockets and two pieces without.
If your project requires every section to have a factory socket, please contact us before ordering to discuss available options.

Why Choose Schedule 80 PVC Pipe?
Schedule 80 PVC is designed for applications requiring greater durability and pressure capability than standard Schedule 40 pipe. Its thicker wall construction provides improved strength while maintaining the corrosion resistance and ease of installation that make PVC one of the most widely used piping materials in commercial and industrial systems.
By supplying larger pipe sizes in 10-foot sections cut from factory 20-foot lengths, we help reduce shipping costs while making the pipe easier to transport and handle on the job site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some pieces have a socket while others do not?
Pipes 1-1/2" through 6" are manufactured in 20-foot lengths with a factory socket on one end. These are cut into 10-foot sections for shipping, so some pieces will include the original factory socket while others will be plain-end sections.
Will every 10-foot length include a factory socket?
No. Because the pipe is cut from factory 20-foot lengths, only some sections will include the original belled socket. For example, four 10-foot lengths will typically include two socketed pieces and two plain-end pieces.
Can I request all socketed pieces?
If your project requires every piece to include a factory socket, please contact us before ordering. We'll be happy to discuss available options.
What fittings are compatible with this pipe?
This pipe is compatible with standard Schedule 80 PVC solvent-weld fittings designed for the same nominal pipe size.
What applications is Schedule 80 PVC pipe best suited for?
Schedule 80 PVC is commonly used in industrial processing, commercial plumbing, water treatment, irrigation, agriculture, municipal infrastructure, and other pressure piping systems where additional wall thickness and durability are required.
