Description

CSA Hi-Vis Insulated Waterproof Bib Overalls with Helly Tech Performance, Knee Pad Pockets, Boot Gaiters, and Articulated Knees | Alta Collection

Product Overview

Knees in snow, boots in standing water, and the crew still needs to see you from across the site. The Helly Hansen Alna Tundra Bib CSA covers everything from the waist down with 133g of PrimaLoft Black insulation, a Helly Tech Performance waterproof membrane, and CSA Z96-2022 plus BC MOT certified high visibility. CSA hi-vis insulated waterproof bib overalls for winter highway and infrastructure work where the lower body takes the worst of the weather.

Knee pad pockets load from the inside. Articulated knees follow your legs when you crouch. Boot gaiters grip inside your boots to seal out snow and slush. A YKK knee-high boot zipper with a storm flap lets you pull the bib on over your boots. Elastic suspenders, adjustable waist, thigh pocket, and waterfold pocket.

Quick Product Details

  • Shell: 100% polyamide; Shell 2: 100% polyester; Lining: 100% polyester
  • Insulation: PrimaLoft® Black 133g, 100% recycled polyester
  • Helly Tech® Performance waterproof breathable membrane
  • CSA Z96-2022 and BC MOT high visibility (ANSI/ISEA 107 not listed)
  • AATCC 127-2017(2018) water resistance, XS to 5XL

Key Features

  • PrimaLoft Black 133g under Helly Tech Performance: 133 grams of PrimaLoft Black insulation traps heat even when the fabric gets damp from sweat or spray. The Helly Tech membrane over top stops rain and melting snow from reaching the insulation layer. A PrimaLoft 133g hi-vis bib for winter construction that stays warm and dry through full shifts in freezing, wet conditions.
  • CSA Z96-2022 and BC MOT certified visibility: Meets CSA Z96-2022 for high visibility on regulated Canadian job sites and BC MOT requirements for highway work in British Columbia. CSA Z96 insulated bib overalls with knee pad pockets for crews on road construction, utility corridors, and infrastructure projects where certified visibility is mandatory.
  • Knee pad pockets, articulated knees, and boot gaiters: Knee pad pockets open from the inside so pads slide in flat without bunching. Articulated knees bend with your legs instead of pulling tight across the kneecap. Boot gaiters with grippers tuck inside your boots and hold the bib leg in place to stop snow and water from entering at the ankle. A Helly Tech waterproof hi-vis bib with articulated knees built for crews who spend hours on their knees in winter conditions.
  • YKK boot zipper with storm flap, thigh pocket, and waterfold: A YKK knee-high boot zipper lets you pull the bib on and off over boots without unlacing. The storm flap with fastener closure covers the zipper teeth to block wind-driven moisture. Thigh pocket with fastener for quick access to small items. Waterfold pocket keeps documents and permits flat and protected from rain. A hi-vis winter bib with boot zipper and storm flap for crews who need to gear up fast in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the inside-access knee pad pockets work?

The pocket openings face inward so you slide knee pads in from the inside of the bib, not through the outer shell. The pads sit flat against your knees without bunching or shifting. You do not need to flip the bib inside out to insert or remove them.

Can you put the bib on without removing your boots?

Yes. The YKK knee-high boot zipper with a storm flap opens the leg wide enough to step in with your boots on. Fasten the storm flap over the zipper teeth and pull the boot gaiters down inside your boots to seal the gap.

What are boot gaiters and why do they matter?

Fabric extensions at the bottom of each bib leg that tuck inside your boots. Rubber grippers hold them in place against the boot shaft so snow, slush, and standing water cannot enter from below. They seal the weakest point on any winter bib.

Does the Alna Tundra Bib carry ANSI/ISEA 107 certification?

No. The bib is certified to CSA Z96-2022 and BC MOT for high visibility, but ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 is not listed for this product. The matching Alna Tundra Parka (71317) does carry ANSI/ISEA 107. Confirm with Helly Hansen if cross-border ANSI compliance on the bib is required.

What sizes and colors are available?

XS to XXXXXL (5XL) in 590 Navy. Matches the Alna Tundra Parka CSA (71317) in color and size range for coordinated crew orders.
