Description
Heavy Duty Stainless T-Bolt Hose Clamps for Marine, Coolant, Water Suction, and Hydraulic Applications
Product Overview
Most T-bolt clamps use a plated steel bolt that rusts and seizes in corrosive or wet environments. The Kodiak G89 uses all stainless steel: Type 301 band, Type 302 bolt, and Type 304 nylon-inserted locknut. No carbon steel, no zinc plating. 35 sizes from 35 mm to 268 mm (1.38" to 10.56"). 3/4" wide band. Sold individually.

To select the right size: measure the outside diameter of the hose or connection at the clamping point. Choose the clamp whose range covers that measurement. If your measurement falls near the upper end of a range, go one size up.
Key Features
- All stainless steel construction with no carbon steel or zinc plating. The bolt and locknut will not rust, seize, or corrode the way plated steel fasteners do in wet or corrosive environments.
- T-bolt design applies 360-degree clamping pressure around the full circumference of the hose, providing higher holding strength than worm-drive gear clamps on the same diameter.
- Nylon-inserted locknut resists loosening from vibration, which keeps the clamp secure on engine coolant lines, hydraulic suction hoses, and other applications subject to continuous movement.
- 3/4" wide band distributes clamping force across a wider contact area than narrow-band clamps, reducing the risk of cutting into or extruding the hose.
Applications
- Marine clamping where gear clamps do not provide adequate holding or tightening strength
- Engine coolant hose connections
- Water suction and discharge lines
- Hydraulic suction hose connections
- Any high-pressure or high-vibration hose connection requiring stronger clamping force than a gear clamp

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a T-bolt clamp and a gear clamp?
A gear clamp (worm-drive) tightens by drawing a band through a slotted housing. A T-bolt clamp wraps a flat band around the hose and tightens with a single bolt, applying even pressure around the full circumference. T-bolt clamps provide higher holding strength and are used where a gear clamp cannot hold securely, such as on large-diameter hoses, high-pressure lines, or connections subject to vibration.
Why choose an all-stainless T-bolt clamp over a plated steel one?
Most T-bolt clamps use a plated steel bolt. The plating wears or chips over time, and the exposed steel rusts, which makes the bolt difficult or impossible to retighten or remove. The Kodiak G89 uses stainless steel for the band (301), bolt (302), and locknut (304), so no component corrodes even in wet, marine, or chemically exposed environments.
What torque should I use on a T-bolt hose clamp?
The Kodiak G89 locknut may be tightened to 50 inch-lbs. Over-torquing can deform the band or damage the hose. Use a torque wrench set to 50 inch-lbs for a controlled, repeatable seal.
What temperature can the G89 locknut handle?
The nylon-inserted locknut is rated to 120 degrees C (248 degrees F). Above that temperature, the nylon insert loses its locking ability. For applications above 248 degrees F, a different locknut type is required.
