This pipe and tubing cutter covers 1/4" to 2-5/8" outside diameter on copper, aluminum, brass, and steel. • Quick Release Trigger. Press the zip nut on the sliding bar, and this quick-release tubing cutter opens instantly. The Reed TC2Q snaps on and off the pipe without unscrewing the knob or threading it over the end, which saves time when working around installed plumbing.
• Interchangeable Cutter Wheels. Swap wheels in seconds using the ball detent wheel pin. The TC2Q frame accepts wheels for copper, aluminum, brass, steel, stainless steel, PE, PP, PVC, and ABS, turning one metal tubing cutter into a multi-material tool.

How to Use the Reed TC2Q

The Reed TC2Q tubing cutter ships with the "O" type wheel pre-installed for copper, aluminum, brass, and steel. The Reed quick release cutter follows a simple five-step process from the manufacturer instruction manual.

1. Unscrew the advance knob one turn, then press the zip nut to open the cutter.
2. Line up the cutter wheel with your cut mark and push the bar assembly until the wheel touches the pipe.
3. Hand-tighten the knob 1/4 to 1/2 turn after the wheel makes contact.
4. Rotate the cutter around the pipe one full revolution to confirm the wheel is tracking straight.
5. Tighten the knob 1/4 to 3/4 turn per revolution and continue rotating until the cut is complete.

For fewer burrs, use a more gradual feed pressure. Avoid applying side pressure on the cutter wheel to extend wheel life. Use the fold-out triangular reamer to remove inside burrs after each cut.
