When measuring a female camlock fitting, the size is based on the inside diameter (ID) of the opening — not the outside diameter.
Use a tape measure, ruler, or ideally calipers for the most accurate measurement.
How to Measure a Female Camlock
Locate the female camlock opening — the side with the coupler arms.
Measure straight across the inside of the opening (inside diameter).
Use the chart below to find the nominal camlock size based on your measurement.
Example: If your female camlock measures 2.52" inside diameter, it’s a 2" camlock fitting.
