What does engine start on a battery charger do?
The engine start setting sends a short, high burst of current, 50 amps on the JC-S107, so a vehicle with a low battery can crank. It is not a charging rate. Use it only long enough to start the engine, then charge the battery at 10A or 2A/5A.
Battery charger vs jump starter: which one do I need?
