Why Choose Flygt Pump Lifting Equipment?

Flygt pump lifting equipment offers a safe, efficient, and durable solution for handling submersible pumps in wastewater applications. Designed to eliminate the need for personnel to enter hazardous areas, it reduces risk and downtime while supporting long-term reliability with corrosion-resistant materials and low-maintenance components. Now available from our Canadian warehouse, it's a smart choice for streamlined operations and reduced total cost of ownership.

  • Flygt 6200900 Submersible Pump Lifting Grip Eye

    • The Flygt 6200900 Submersible Pump Lifting Grip Eye is a heavy-duty, forged alloy steel lifting accessory designed for safely removing submersible pumps from lift stations without confined space entry. Also called a grab link or chain grip, it is compatible exclusively with Flygt's 9/32" hot-dipped galvanized pump lifting chain and supports up to 2,600 lbs. To operate, the Grip Eye is attached to an electric hoist cable, then slid down a taut chain to the pump; loosening the chain allows it to grip securely for lifting.

  • Flygt Galvanized Submersible Pump Lifting Chain

    • The Flygt Galvanized Submersible Pump Lifting Chain is designed for safely removing Flygt pumps from pits and confined areas, and is compatible with the Vulcan Model C Hand Operated Pump Lifting Hoist. Hot-dip galvanized for durability, it supports overhead lifting in compliance with NACM and OSHA standards, with a maximum load capacity of 2,646 lbs. The chain is used by feeding its loose end into the hoist and operating it until the pump is fully lifted. Available in 6 to 10 meter lengths, it offers flexibility for various installation depths.

  • Flygt 13520139 Portable Pump Lifting Davit

    • The Flygt 13520139 Portable Pump Lifting Davit is a 77-lb, 75-inch-tall lifting device designed to fit older 3" ID Flygt wall, floor, and recessed sockets. It features a suspension eye positioned 60" above ground and supports a maximum load of 660 lbs. Compatible with the Flygt Vulcan Hand Operated Hoist and select electric winches, it enables safe removal of submersible pumps from lift stations. Note: It is not rated for lifting or lowering personnel into confined spaces.

FAQs

1. Why is specialized pump lifting equipment essential for submersible pump maintenance?

Specialized pump lifting equipment is crucial for submersible pump maintenance because it ensures safe, efficient, and damage-free handling of heavy and delicate pump systems, especially in deep or confined spaces like wells or pits, minimizing downtime and reducing injury risk.

2. How do I choose the right pump lifting frame for my application?

Choosing the right pump lifting frame depends on factors like pump weight, installation depth, site conditions, and frequency of maintenance; stainless steel or galvanized frames are often preferred for corrosion resistance, while modular or mobile designs offer flexibility for varied pump setups.

3. Can lifting equipment be used for both the installation and removal of pumps?

Yes, most pump lifting equipment is designed for both installation and removal, allowing for safe lowering of new pumps into position and smooth extraction during servicing, which streamlines maintenance tasks and reduces the need for additional tools or machinery.

4. What are the common safety features in modern pump lifting systems?

Modern pump lifting systems often include safety features like mechanical locking arms, overload indicators, anti-slip winches, and reinforced lifting chains or slings, all designed to prevent accidental drops and ensure secure operation even in harsh or high-moisture environments.

5. Do I need certification to operate pump lifting equipment?

While small-scale or manual lifting systems may not require formal certification, using powered or industrial-grade lifting gear often does, and operators are usually required to complete safety training or obtain a license depending on local regulations and workplace safety standards.
