Description

Inline Coconut Shell Carbon Filtration for Clean, Fresh-Tasting Water

The Franklin FWIC Inline GAC Carbon Filter is engineered to deliver superior taste and odor reduction across a wide range of residential and light commercial water systems. Manufactured using high-capacity activated coconut shell carbon, the FWIC provides excellent adsorption performance, effectively removing chlorine, unpleasant tastes, and odors from incoming water.

Built for versatility, this inline filter installs easily into any 1/4-inch line, making it compatible with refrigerators, ice makers, RO systems, water coolers, beverage dispensers, coffee makers, RVs, campers, boats, and point-of-use drinking water systems. The FWIC is available in two configurations:

  • Disposable inline filter with built-in 1/4" quick-connect fittings, or

  • Inline filter with 1/4" FNPT threaded ends for flexible installation options.

When used as an RO post-filter, the FWIC delivers approximately 12 months of service life. As a standalone inline filter treating potable water, expected service capacity ranges from 1800–2000 gallons or roughly 6 months, depending on incoming water quality.

Before use, the filter should be flushed with at least 5 gallons of water to remove carbon fines and ensure optimal performance.

With a maximum operating temperature of 52°C (125°F) and durable construction, the FWIC Series delivers dependable, long-lasting filtration for a wide range of applications.
