Waterite Reverse Osmosis Systems

Waterite's Vectapure line is the reverse osmosis backbone of many Canadian households and businesses. The Vectapure NX is a compact 5-stage 75 GPD residential RO system with a fully-encapsulated membrane, color-coded quick-change cartridges, and a chrome faucet. The everyday workhorse for drinking water. For higher output, the Vectapure 400NX delivers 400 GPD with a high-purity pressure tank; the Vectapure 360 Four Stage system runs 75 GPD with a built-in leak detector; and the Vectapure 360 Triple Stage Ultrafiltration System delivers chlorine and lead reduction with zero wastewater. For commercial installations, the RSX II Commercial and RSX II Lite Advanced systems produce 350-800 USGPD using dual Black Max® membranes and stainless steel membrane housings suitable for chemical mixing, bottling, or pure-water supply in light industrial environments.

Waterite Water Softener Resins

Waterite's Excelclear ion exchange resins are used in water softeners across Canada to remove calcium and magnesium hardness, prevent scale buildup, and protect plumbing and appliances. The Excelclear 001X8NA 8% crosslinked resin is the standard for most residential and light commercial softeners, WQA Gold Seal certified, with high ion exchange capacity. For chlorinated municipal water or severe-service applications where chlorine would degrade a standard resin quickly, step up to the Excelclear ZGC110 10% crosslinked resin built for longer service life under oxidative conditions. Both come in 1 cu ft bags, sized for standard softener tank rebuilds.

Waterite Big Blue Water Filter Housings

Big Blue filter housings are the high-flow, heavy-sediment workhorses of whole-house and point-of-entry filtration. Cleanflow stocks the full Waterite Big Blue range: 10" and 20" housings in single, DuPlex (twin chamber), and TriPlex (triple chamber) configurations, plus UV-integrated TriPlex housings that combine mechanical filtration with ultraviolet disinfection in a single unit. All are 4.5" OD, compatible with standard Big Blue cartridges, and include the accessories you'll need ' O-rings (Buna-N material in multi-pack options) and the universal housing wrench for safe, leak-free maintenance.

UV replacement ballasts keep existing Waterite UV systems running at peak performance. What Waterite products are best for a residential well water system?

For a typical residential well: pair a Waterite Excelclear softening resin (001X8NA for most situations, ZGC110 if your water is chlorinated) to remove hardness, a Big Blue TriPlex housing for sediment and carbon filtration at the point-of-entry, and a Vectapure NX or Vectapure 360 RO system under the kitchen sink for drinking water. This three-stage approach addresses hardness, particulate/chlorine, and drinking water purity separately, which is more effective than trying to do everything through a single cartridge.

Which Waterite RO system is right for me, Vectapure NX, 360, or RSX II?

How often should I replace Waterite filter cartridges?

General guidance for typical Vectapure RO systems: sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6-12 months (sooner if your feed water has heavy sediment or high chlorine), RO membranes every 2-3 years, post-filters (carbon polishing) every 12 months. Your actual replacement interval depends on water quality and daily usage systems on municipal water with moderate use typically run longest intervals; systems on well water with high mineral content or heavy daily draw need shorter intervals. Waterite color-codes Vectapure 360 cartridges to make replacement straightforward.

Do Waterite water softener resins fit any softener tank?

Waterite Excelclear resins are standard 8% and 10% crosslinked cation exchange resins, packaged in 1 cu ft bags. They fit any standard residential or commercial softener tank sized for that volume — Fleck, Clack, Autotrol, Pentair, and most other major control valve and tank combinations. The resin itself is the consumable; the softener head, tank, and brine tank are the fixed equipment. Sizing note: most residential softeners use 0.75 to 1.5 cu ft of resin; commercial systems use 2-5+ cu ft.
