The Franklin 10" x 4.5" OD FWPS Series Spun Poly Filter Cartridge is built for high-capacity sediment filtration in residential, commercial, and industrial water systems. Constructed from 100% melt-blown polypropylene using thermal fusion technology, this cartridge contains no glues, binders, or additives that could contaminate the water supply.
Its advanced three-layer density structure uses larger outer fibers and finer inner fibers to maximize contaminant retention while maintaining low pressure drop and high flow performance. This design allows the cartridge to effectively capture sediment, sand, rust, scale, and suspended solids while extending service life.
The large 4.5" OD “Big Blue” style construction provides significantly higher flow rates and dirt-holding capacity compared to standard slimline cartridges, making it ideal for whole-house filtration and demanding water treatment applications.
