Description
Franklin Water Treatment FWGC10B 10" Big Blue Granular Activated Carbon Filter Cartridge
The Franklin Water Treatment FWGC10B is a 10-inch Big Blue granular activated carbon (GAC) filter cartridge designed to improve the taste, odor, and overall quality of drinking and process water. Compatible with most standard 4.5" x 10" Big Blue filter housings, this high-capacity cartridge effectively reduces chlorine, chlorine by-products, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), herbicides, pesticides, turbidity, and other contaminants that negatively impact water quality.
The FWGC10B features a full-bed granular activated carbon design that forces water to travel through the entire carbon media before exiting the cartridge. An internal expansion pad helps minimize channeling and bypass, ensuring maximum contact time between the water and activated carbon for improved contaminant reduction and longer filter life.
Suitable for residential and commercial applications, the FWGC10B can be used as a stand-alone point-of-use drinking water filter, as a pre-filter or post-filter for reverse osmosis systems, or anywhere improved water taste and chlorine reduction are required.
Reduces Common Water Contaminants
The FWGC10B is designed to significantly reduce:
- Chlorine
- Chlorine by-products (Trihalomethanes - THMs)
- Unpleasant tastes and odours
- Turbidity (cloudy water)
- Herbicides
- Pesticides
- Insecticides
- Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
