CTS Brass Compression Fittings Size Guide

CTS (Copper Tube Size) brass compression fittings are designed for use with plastic (HDPE) or copper tubing that follows the Copper Tube Size standard. This system refers to the nominal size of the tubing, but the actual outside diameter (OD) is larger than the nominal value. These fittings are commonly used in residential plumbing, potable water systems, and radiant heating applications.

All compressions ends of CTS fittings connect to tubing based on its outside diameter, which is a measurement also shared with copper pipes. Be sure to measure the OD of your pipe or tubing to ensure compatibility. Always measure the outside diameter of your pipe to select the proper size.

Tip: CTS compression fittings are not interchangeable with IPS fittings or pipe. If you're using HDPE or CPVC pipe, verify that it follows CTS sizing and confirm the OD before purchasing.
