FAQs

1. What type of battery does the CPDWW require?

The CPDWW requires an 18V Bosch® battery, which is sold separately. For optimal performance, use a battery with a minimum of 4.0 Ah capacity. For heavy-duty tasks, an 8.0 Ah battery is recommended, and having a spare battery ensures uninterrupted operation.

2. How do you install and remove adapters on the CPDWW?

To install an adapter, push it squarely into the power drive opening until the spring-loaded pawls catch securely. To remove it, push the adapter out with force to release the spring-loaded pawls. Adapters can only be installed and removed in one direction for proper alignment.

3. How does the switch on the CPDWW work?

The CPDWW has a red switch with three positions: OFF, ON, and Locked. The OFF position is closest to the battery, while the ON position is away from it. The switch can be locked in the ON position by pressing the side away from the battery, and the lock is released by pressing the opposite side.

4. What safety precautions should you follow when using the CPDWW?

Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection, a dust mask, and non-skid shoes. Keep your work area clean and well-lit, and avoid loose clothing or jewelry. Ensure the switch is OFF before attaching the battery, and keep bystanders away while operating the tool.

5. What maintenance is required for the CPDWW?

Regularly check for misalignment, binding parts, and signs of wear. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean, and only use manufacturer-recommended accessories. Disconnect the battery before making adjustments or storing the tool to prevent accidental starts.
